Week 37: My Last In Utero Blog

So a funny thing happened at the doctor's office the other day. My mommy was having an ultrasound because our doctor thought that I was going to be a big baby. During this ultrasound my mommy and daddy learned something that I already knew, I have a lot of hair on my head. But that isn't the funny thing that happened. You see the "estimate of my birth weight came in. At first my mommy and daddy didn't want to know, but then the doctor told them. Right now my estimate birth weight is 7 lbs 11 oz. But that isn't the funny part either. The funny part is that the doctor thinks that I am a big baby.

As you can see from the picture I do look big. But in comparison to my daddy's birth weight I have a long way to go until I can be called a big baby. All I can say to that is yes, there is less and less room in here, which is one reason why I have to stop blogging, my Macbook Pro just doesn't fit that well anymore. The other thing that I have to say is that I have dropped a little, which is giving my mommy a bit more breathing room. This is the other reason why this is my last in utero blog. I really need to mentally prepare myself for the transition from life inside of here, to life out there.

I cannot tell you when I am going to make my big entrance, or as my daddy likes to say, "when the curtain is going up on my life long production", but I can say that I am close and that I cannot wait to meet all of you that have shown my mommy and daddy so much support over the past 9 months. So thank you all for being loyal readers of my journey inside of here and I cannot wait to being a new chapter in my blog covering my life on the outside. So for the finally time in utero, this is Baby signing off.

PS: I hope that Apple lets me keep this cool laptop once I am on the outside...

Week 31: Parenting Classes Begin

Hello to all my loyal fans out there in the non-uterus world. It has been 3 weeks since my last blog update. I have been very busy instead of here as I continue to grow towards my birth weight. I can't believe that in just a short time I will be making my grand entrance into the world. I bet you are wondering what's been going on with me.

Well, first of all the Blue Jays are leading their division. This is making daddy really happy. I hear him tell mom everyday if they win or lose. Mommy pretends to care, shhhh, don't tell daddy that. He says that this is an excellent sign, that I'm coming into the world when his favorite team has a real shot at winning a championship. What ever that means.

I am now well over 4 pounds, and almost 2 feet in length. Sorry mommy for causing you so much discomfort, but it isn't exactly the Ritz in here. All of the things that are supposed to be growing are. The Doctor says that I am on schedule for my July debut. That's only a short 7 to 8 weeks away.

My mommy also celebrated her first Mother's Day. Daddy made her delicious dark chocolate covered strawberries and graham crackers. She was very surprised. Every time she eats one I get hyper in here and start to bounce around the womb like I am on a trampoline. It's very fun. So mommy and daddy, if you're reading this, which I know that you are, I want a trampoline for my first birthday present.

Today my mommy and daddy went to a parenting class. It was 3 hours long. I know this because my daddy kept saying to mommy that the lady teaching the class is going to lecture to us for 3 hours. In this class they learned how to hold me properly. How to burp me. How to clean me up after my first poops. How to bathe me with a sponge and in a tub. How to wrap me up like a burrito and a bunch of other useful information. I could really feel their excitement after the class. I was also pretty active during the class and daddy thought that was great as it gave him something to focus on other than a 3 hour lecture.

My daddy also watched a National Geographic documentary called "The Womb". He called mommy right afterwards and told her how excited it made him. He learned a lot about what is going on in here. He told mommy that his favorite part was watching the baby emerge. He said that he couldn't wait until it was me and he was able to finally meet me face to face and hold me and tell me how much he loves me for the very first time. You know what, daddy? I can't wait for that either.

Well it is time for me to wrap this blog up for now. I'll do my best to blog again real soon, but it is getting pretty cramped in here for me and my Macbook Pro. Until next time...

Week 28: Growing as I Should

And in this uterus, weighing in at 3 pounds, with a crown to rump length of 16 inches, hailing from Lori & Evan...Baby! <>>

Well there I am, and boy oh boy am I getting big. I am also starting to become a lot more active. This week my daddy and my Aunt Marina saw me kicking in my mommy's belly. They watched with sheer amusement as my feet protruded through the skin. I heard them both giggling with every one of my kicks.

My room is also really starting to take shape. My Aunt Marina was busy as a bee this week painting cute little teddy bears all over it. I heard my daddy say over and over again that he didn't want any pink hearts, in case I'm a boy. Both mommy and daddy seemed really happy with how the room is looking, but both said that there is a lot that still needs to be done before it is ready for me.

Mommy had her now every other week check-up and the doctor said that I'm growing as a I should. She also told mommy, who then told daddy, that there will be no more ultrasounds and that the next time they see me it will be when I am ready to make my grand entrance into the world. My heartbeat was 155 today, which according to the doctor is good. Mommy next visits the doctor in 2 weeks, when she'll be 30 weeks along. I can feel her excitement with every passing day.

Well that is my update. I'm going to stream a baseball game in here and relax. I'll update again really soon. Thanks for checking on me. Baby out!

Week 27: I'm Ready for My Close-Up

Well, there I am. I'm around 27 weeks old at this point, give, or take a few days. I weigh in at 2 and half pounds, so I'm looking like I'm going to be a big baby. This is the first time that my mommy and my daddy have gotten to see my face. Heck, it's the first time that I've gotten to see my face. I over heard my mommy and daddy say that I look just like him, so I'm hoping that's a good thing.

The last week was a busy one for me. My mommy took me on a trip to Los Angeles where she had a baby shower for me. Whatever that means. I heard laughing and felt lots of rubs on my mommy's belly. Everyone sounded so excited and said that they couldn't wait to see some pictures of me. I really enjoyed my time in LA. I got to hear the voices of many family members and friends. That made me excited.

My daddy went on a baseball trip. He visited a bunch of cities that I cannot pronounce yet. He called my mommy a lot to check up on her and me. He sounded tired, but excited. I even heard him say that he couldn't wait to start taking me to baseball games. I have no idea what baseball is, but if it makes my daddy happy, and my mommy happy for my daddy, then it makes me happy.

The week before my mommy had to visit the hospital and they kept her there for a really long time because she was dehydrated from a stomach bug that she caught. Well no one was really sure what she caught, my bubbie thought that it might have been a bad egg salad sandwich that my mommy ate earlier in the day. Either way it was not a fun day in here, but we got through it and both of us are feeling much, much better. So no one out there worry.

Well I'm about 13 weeks away from making my big entrance into the world. I can't wait to meet all of you for the very first time. And judging from my daddy's voice he was really excited for all of the great gifts that you all got me at my mommy's LA baby shower. So until my next update, be well. Baby out!

Week 24: Nursery Painted

Hello, it's me again, Baby! It has been two weeks since my last blog. My Internet connection is a bit wacky in here. This week I am over a foot long and weigh almost a full pound. Everything seems to be developing nicely and I am happy to report that I am having a good time in here, though I am anxious to see what my mommy and daddy look like. I have also had a very active week. Last week my mommy, daddy and bubbie participated in the Run Away with Cirque du Soleil 5K Run. No, we didn't run, we walked the 3.2 miles throughout the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. What an amazing day I had.

My daddy also finished painting my future room. I could hear him and mommy talking about how nice it turned out. I cannot wait to see it for myself!

This past week my mommy also arranged a event at her work for Earth Hour. I could feel how excited she was when she saw all of the lights go out on the Las Vegas Strip. I heard some amazing music and could sense people dancing and having a great time. My mommy doesn't know it, but all that kicking she felt was really me dancing to the music. I also dance a lot to the music in her show, "O".

Well, I'm a bit tired and need to get some rest. Until next time...Baby Out!

Week 22: Nursery Construction

As you can see from the picture I have grown to the size of a large banana. At 22 weeks I should be arriving in around 18 weeks. I heard my daddy say that he wants me to be born on July 11, or 7/11. I'll do my best daddy, but I really not sure if I want to share my birthday with a convenience store. My eyelids and fingernails have also fully developed, and I'm just under one pound in weight.

All this weekend my Uncle Ryan and my daddy were busy constructing my nursery. They built me a really cool  closet to hang up all of my cool clothes and a place to store all of my toys. Mommy was overheard saying that she wanted a nice area for me to put things away so that my room is always nice and tidy. They also primed my room so that they can paint a new color. I heard daddy ask mommy if she could tell that the room used to be a brick red. She said no and I could tell that she was really proud of my daddy for all of the hard work he put in. She was even happy that Uncle Ryan was able to drive in from Los Angeles to help. Thanks Uncle Ryan for being apart of my nursery creating. I can't wait to live in it.

This week mommy was at the show "Love" at the Mirage. She was doing a follow of their stage managers and got to watch the show from backstage. I have to be honest, the music for "Love" is a lot better than mommy's show "O". Not that "O"'s music is bad, but the Beatles were awesome and their songs are very catchy. Backstage I heard some one announce that my mommy was pregnant. She turned a bright red and I felt her laughing. I already love my mommy's laugh. I even love it when daddy mimics her laugh. It was a great night for the both of us.

Well, I've had fun blogging, but my Macbook needs a charge. I was up late last night surfing the Internet for baseball scores. I hope that you enjoyed reading about my week as much as I enjoyed typing it out. Until next week, I hope that all of you have a wonderful week.

Week 21: Nevada Reading Week

Hello again, it's me, Baby. The picture above is of me, sort of, and my mommy. That small bulge is me at 21 weeks. People are really starting to notice me a lot more. I am getting a lot of attention everywhere that we go.

This week my mommy was at Wright Elementary School in Mountain's Edge. That's where my daddy used to teach. My mommy was reading to some of the students there. The first book she read was about a dog. The second book was about a cat that got to travel on the Titanic. The students also asked my mommy lots of questions about her job at Cirque du Soleil. She has such a wonderful reading voice.

I also heard my daddy reading this week. Every week he reads about what is going on with me inside the womb. I can't wait for the both of them to read me to sleep every night. I think the first book that I'm going to have my daddy read to me will be Partly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Mommy continues to get in lots of exercise. On Monday we did Mommy Yoga and on Thursday we did Mommy Pilates together. Both are so much fun and mommy really feels good when she is finished. And when mommy feels good, I feel good.

This week I am about the size of a banana and I weigh around 10 and half ounces. I am also digesting large amounts of amnionic fluid as my digestive system continues to develop. Every once in a while my mommy can even feel me move around.

Well I am getting tired and my Macbook's battery is low. It is time for both of us to recharge. Until my next Blog, I wish you all pleasant dreams.
